Frequent Questions...Don't Trust, Verify

Bitcoin was introduced to the world in 2009, as a peer-to-peer digital cash system. Since then, It has become so much more to so many people. It can often feel overwhelming to a newcomer. A great place to start is with the original whitepaper and through learning how to self-custody Bitcoin. This will take time, but there is value in learning Bitcoin as it was intended to be used. As you learn, never learn with more funds than you are willing to lose.

The more you learn about Bitcoin, the more the answer to this question will become clear to you. One of the best things about Bitcoin is that it is an innovation unfolding in real time. I always say “somewhere out there is a person who hasn’t learned about Bitcoin, who will discover a new way to use Bitcoin, that no one has thought of yet. That person could be you if you invest the time in learning. From peer-to-peer transactions, to holding bitcoin as an asset to getting paid in bitcoin, there are many ways you can bring Bitcoin to your current work and mission.

No! At Proof of Workforce our educational resources are free to all. Learning is free, and thus the real cost is to not learn about one of the most pivotal innovations in history. We encourage education-based and sustainable adoption. There are many ways your union or workplace can adopt Bitcoin without spending money. While there will always be a cost to acquire bitcoin, its important to understand what you are acquiring before expending the hard earned money we all work for. 

Bitcoin has so many facets. In addition to being a hard asset that holds value over time, as well as a savings vehicle that preserves purchasing power, Bitcoin is the world’s most powerful digital network. It is powered by an incredibly talented community of amazing humans. Additionally it has additional layers that make up a payment network, which enables cheap to nearly free transactions. You union has a tremendous amount to gain from the multiple facets of Bitcoin. It is equally important, amidst an expanding supply of the US dollar, and challenges within US Pensions, what do our unions stand to lose?

As with any investment of either money or your valuable time, it is important to do your homework. That’s why we say “Don’t Trust, Verify.” Proof of Workforce only sources resources and content from the most trusted educators in the space. Those educators are committed to Bitcoin and many teach at no financial gain, because they believe in what they are saying. However, look around and verify for yourself. As for other tokens…there are thousands of “crypto” projects out there. Use extreme caution. It’s why we say “Bitcoin not Crypto.”  Our suggestion is to focus on Bitcoin and that’s all we focus on here at Proof of Workforce. After all, it is the original and has been the #1 digital money since its inception. The rest are just distractions
